What is Paltalk People?
Paltalk People is a service that allows people with varied to express themselves and meet each other. Are you interested in surfing, jazz, or red wine? Create your profile and say it. Later, when you´re chatting with people on Paltalk, they can readily learn more about what makes you tick.
What has changed with Paltalk People?
Generally speaking we have enhanced Paltalk People so it´s more about finding people that share your interests as opposed to dating. To support this, we have added several new features:
• Interest tags
• ´Instant Message´ links on people´s profiles, so you can contact them any time
• Unlimited photo viewing
• Friends list
• Guestbook
• Favorite music, movies, TV shows, books
• Cleaner, easier to use design
How do I find people I´m interested in?
Simply enter a topic into the search field on every page. Additionally, you can click on a keyword on anyone´s profile to find additional people fitting that description.
Advanced search options include searching for specific Paltalkers by username, and searching by people who are currently online, search by language, search people who have photos, and many others.
How do I create a profile?
First, you need to have a Paltalk account – to do that simply download the Paltalk software, install it, and register. Once you do this, click on the profile settings links at the top of every page. Next, click on the ´ My Info´ links in your profile settings page. Once you do this, your profile will be viewable to all.
Once created, feel free to complete the remainder of your profile by filling out your interests/keywords, uploading photos and videos, and adding friends.
How to I express my interests to the world?
When you create your profile, enter as many interests as you like in the interests field. Don´t forget to tell us your favorite music, movies, books, and television shows.
The more you say about yourself, the more people will know about you, the more things you´ll have to talk about. You never know what you have in common with other people on Paltalk.
How do I upload my picture or video?
Just one? Did you know that you could upload up to 10 pictures or 4 videos? Once you create your profile, simply click on the profile settings link at the top of every page.
What are my friends?
On Paltalk, it´s all about who you know. Tell everyone who your friends are. If they visit your profile page or you visit theirs, simply click on the ´Add as a Friend´ link on the left-hand side of the page.
What is my guestbook?
You guestbook is a place where your friends can leave you messages and simply say hello. Visit someone´s profile and tell him or her what you think of them. Keep in mind, you can allow anyone to post in your guestbook, or only your friends.
How do I change or manage my profile?
Visit the profile settings page (login required), and from there you can do a number of things, such as:
• Edit your profile
• Upload your pictures or videos
• See who´s asked to be your friend, and authorize friend requests
• See who´s posted on your guestbook
• Change your privacy settings
• Email your profile URL to people you know
How can I get my picture on Paltalk Today or the Paltalk homepage? Why can I rate some people and not others?
Some Paltalkers have opted to make their profiles Featured so that they can be shown on Paltalk Today. In addition, some Featured profiles that have tags will be displayed on the Paltalk homepage and the People homepage.
Once you opt to feature your profile, others can rate you and you can show yourself off to other Paltalkers. Simply access your privacy settings and turn on the option to ´Feature me in Paltalk today and let others rate my profile´.
How can I tell Paltalk what I think about the new People website?
